Authentic saunas, built to the highest standard.
We bring genuine Finnish heritage into New Zealand homes, combining Scandinavian craft with your vision, so every sauna we design, build and install is exactly right for how you'll use it.
Brought to you by a Scandinavian-trained, qualified sauna builder.
Every FinnSauna room is designed with you, prepared in our Auckland workshop and built on site from Finnish materials we import ourselves.

The core of every Finnish sauna
Heaters, controls, timber and accessories, most of it in stock at our Auckland workshop. Imported by us, direct from Finland.
A commercial heater with a 3-year warranty.
The only heater on the New Zealand market with a three-year warranty for commercial use, available here only through FinnSauna.
See electric heatersIn Finland, the sauna isn't a luxury. It's where life happens.
Finland has an estimated 2 to 3.2 million saunas for a population of just 5.5 million. For almost every Finn it's the most important room in the house: where they relax, socialise, do business and mark life's biggest moments.
Our founder grew up inside that culture, bathing in his grandparents' sauna in Lahti, by Lake Alanen, more than fifty-five years ago. That same respect for the ritual, the heat and the löyly is what he brings to every sauna FinnSauna builds in New Zealand today.
New Zealand's longest-established sauna specialist.
Same owners. Same people running it. No sell-offs, no change of hands — just the ones who started it, still building saunas in Auckland.

Saunas we've built across Auckland and beyond.
Every one custom designed, prepared in our workshop and built on site. Our own builds, photographed — never stock images.
Takapuna
An unused outdoor spa in Takapuna became a proper sauna with heat and humidity you can dial in separately.
Sauna and steam room
A sauna and steam room built side by side into a new Flat Bush home, caught and corrected before the framing locked in wrong.
Kiwifruit grower's hybrid
A kiwifruit farmer's sauna that runs traditional or infrared, built in spruce and abachi.
Every sauna has its own character — its own distinctive löyly. The better the löyly, the more enjoyable the sauna.
