What the programme covers

Everything a sauna needs over the years.

01.

Ventilation, installed properly

There are many ways to ventilate a sauna. We'll advise on what suits yours, then fit it properly.

02.

Benches repaired or remade

From a tired board to a full rebuild, with the same bench work that goes into a new build.

03.

Damaged panelling

Repair and maintenance of the lining, matched to what's already in the room.

04.

Stone replacement

Stones break down with every heat cycle. Regular replacement keeps the löyly right.

05.

Bench oil treatment

Finnish oil made for sauna benches: water-resistant, easier to clean and more hygienic.

06.

New heaters

Replacements for electric and wood-fired saunas, supplied and fitted.

Once a year
The rule worth knowing

Change your stones once a year.

If your sauna is used twice a week or more, the stones should be replaced every year. It's the one piece of maintenance most owners are never told about.

Every heat cycle breaks the rock down a little further. As the stones crumble they pack tighter, air stops moving through the heater and the löyly goes flat: a sharp, dry heat instead of the soft one you paid for.

Sauna stones
The one that matters most

Ventilation keeps a sauna dry and healthy.

It's the part nobody thinks about, and the part that decides whether the room is a pleasure or a chore.

Good airflow makes every visit more enjoyable and keeps the timber dry between uses. The right setup depends on the room — where the heater sits, where the door is, what's above the ceiling. That's an on-site question, and we'll give you a straight answer.

Quick check

Does any of this sound like your sauna?

You feel wiped out after a sauna
The room feels closed in
You get short of breath in there
It smells musty

That's a ventilation problem — not just how saunas are. It's fixable, and it rarely means tearing the sauna out. Usually it's a matter of getting the inlet and outlet right.
